I actually did binge-watch Ted Lasso, so yes, I also see the value of knowing how and when to let go. ;-D

In fact, I've thought quite a bit about the impact of trauma on self-control due to my personal experiences. I have good self-control in some areas, but can be very impulsive in others and I feel these are probably trauma-based. For example, reacting defensively to critique (a form of "low" self-control) can definitely be based in childhood experiences where you were punished for not performing perfectly, for example.

But I haven't yet found any papers on the intersection of trauma and self-control. Let me know if you have any interesting reading recommendations!
